The gap we kept seeing
Across finance, the same pattern shows up everywhere. The work that actually matters — reconciling, parsing, reporting, monitoring — is either trapped in spreadsheets, locked inside enterprise systems only IT can touch, or pushed into cloud tools that meter every run and quietly carry your data off your machine.
None of those were built for the person who knows exactly what needs to happen but was never meant to write code — and whose data is too sensitive to leave the building in the first place.
Vega is the missing middle: serious automation you can build yourself, that runs where your data already lives.

Sourav is a Chartered Accountant who also builds software — a combination rare enough that, for years, he was often the only person in the room who could both read the regulation and write the automation for it.
He's worked across finance rather than settling into one long tenure — the most substantial being tax-compliance automation inside a Big4 firm, frequently as the sole technologist, turning rules straight into Python. Around it, shorter stints each opened a different window — a fintech platform hedge funds run on, bank audits, credit desks. Many vantage points instead of one, and that range is exactly why the same gap was impossible to miss.
